Drivers can change the stop order from the delivery link
When a site can't take the truck yet, the driver can do another stop first without calling the office. On the delivery page opened from the QR code, each stop further down the trip has a Go here next button that moves it right after the stop the driver is at, with an Undo in case it was the wrong one. The trip header, the next stop and Confirm delivery all follow the new order.
Tapping Arrive at a stop that isn't next asks first, naming the stop. Arrive here moves the stop up and records the arrival; Go back leaves everything as it was, so a mis-tap changes nothing.
Each change shows on the delivery's Timeline tab as Itinerary reordered, with when it was made and, if the driver's phone shared it, where. Changes made in the office show up on the driver's page within 30 seconds, or as soon as they come back to it, without a reload and without moving their place on the page, with a note that the stop order has been updated.
If the office changed the stop order after the page loaded, the driver's move isn't made; the page shows the new order instead, so neither change is lost. The first stop stays first, the trip's destination stays as planned, and an item still can't be dropped off before it is picked up. The stops of a finished delivery can't be moved.
Confirm delivery appears once every drop-off stop is done or has an issue reported, so a stop the driver had to skip doesn't hold up the end of the trip.
