Find any order, component or route with Cmd+K

Press Cmd+K, or Ctrl+K on Windows, from anywhere in BuildingSwell and start typing. Orders, components and routes come back by name, by number, or by any tag on them, ranked so the thing you meant is first. You don't need whole words: a few letters from each word, in any order, is enough, so "sth rl" finds South Rail Bracket. Type an order number and that order is the top row, not the twelve orders that mention it.

Results appear as you type rather than after it. The palette narrows what it already has on the keystroke itself and remembers what you searched, so backspacing and retyping costs nothing. Arrow keys move, Enter opens, and Cmd/Ctrl+Enter opens in a new tab. With the box empty it offers what you open most, and typing a page name jumps you straight there.

You only ever see what you are allowed to see: the same permissions, shop and project access that govern every other list govern this one, and archived work stays out of the way.
