The Sessions date filter applies when you set it

Setting a date range in Timesheets → Sessions narrows the list to that range, so you can read and export across weeks in one go.

Before this the range could revert to the pay cycle as the filter drawer closed. Both the current and the previous Sessions view are fixed.
